1. Who we are
Creator Tool Match ("we," "us," "our") is a free quiz-based tool-recommendation site for content creators. We're operated by an independent team and do not represent or speak for any platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) or any of the tools we recommend.
2. What data we collect
Quiz answers
When you take the quiz, your answers (stage, channel type, friction, next move, constraint, team, platform) are processed in your browser to generate a result. If you don't submit your email, these answers are never tied to you and never leave your browser.
Email address (if you opt in)
If you submit your email to receive the 30-day plan, we send your email + your quiz answers (as tags) to Beehiiv, our email provider. They use this to deliver the right plan and weekly emails.
Anonymous analytics
We use Fathom Analytics to count anonymous page views and key events (quiz starts, quiz completions, email submissions, tool clicks). Fathom does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully GDPR/CCPA compliant.
Server logs (limited)
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes connection metadata (IP address, request time, user agent) to deliver the site and protect against abuse. These logs are not retained long-term and are not used for tracking.
3. What data we don't collect
- No tracking cookies. No fingerprinting.
- No third-party ad networks. No retargeting pixels.
- No passwords (we don't have user accounts).
- No payment information (we don't sell anything directly).
- No sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric).
- We don't sell or rent your email or quiz data to anyone.
4. Third parties we share data with

5. Cookies
We don't set cookies on our domain. The third-party affiliate networks linked from result pages may set cookies on their domain when you click through — that's outside our control and governed by their privacy policies.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (your email + tags in Beehiiv)
- Deletion — request that we delete your data
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from emails in one click via the footer of any email we send
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
To exercise any of these rights, email us via the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
EU / UK (GDPR)
Our legal basis for processing your email is your consent when you submit it. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Data retention
We keep your email in Beehiiv for as long as you remain subscribed, plus 30 days after you unsubscribe (to comply with anti-spam regulations). Quiz answers submitted with your email are retained as Beehiiv subscriber tags for the same period. Anonymous analytics in Fathom are retained for 12 months.
8. International transfers
Beehiiv and Fathom are US-based. Cloudflare operates globally. By using the site, you consent to your data being processed in these jurisdictions. EU/UK users: appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) apply where required.
9. Children's privacy
Creator Tool Match is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up for a paid plan through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We disclose this prominently on every result page and we recommend tools without affiliate programs whenever they're the right answer.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we change what we collect or how we use it. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. If a change is material, we'll notify subscribers by email.
